General Care Recommendations:

1. Avoid Heavy Lifting and Harsh Activities:

• We recommend removing your ring before engaging in heavy lifting, as it can minimise the risk of accidental damage or deformation.

• Remember to take it off before hopping into a hot tub or going for a swim to prevent exposure to chlorine or other chemicals that may affect its appearance.

2. Keep it Away from Harsh Chemicals:

• Avoid exposing your ring to harsh cleaning chemicals or solutions, as they can potentially harm the integrity of certain materials.

3. Minimise Contact with Lotions and Oils:

• Apply lotions, oils, and perfumes before putting on your ring to prevent residue build-up, which can dull its shine over time.

Specific Metal Care:

Stainless Steel, Black Zirconium, Timascus, and Titanium:

• Caring for these metals is a breeze. Begin by placing your ring in warm, soapy water (dishwashing soap works perfectly). Gently wipe it with a lint-free cloth until it's clean, and then dry it thoroughly with another clean cloth.

UV Pieces:

• For rings with UV elements that contain resin, exercise extra caution to prevent scratches from sharp objects.

Damascus:

• Damascus rings are easy to maintain. If a simple dishwasher soap solution doesn't do the trick, consider using a commercial cleaner along with a soft child's toothbrush to remove any stubborn grime.

Superconductor:

• Please take a look at this blog post. We coat the ring in a protective layer that minimises the effects of a patina, but doesn't stop it completely. Over time, should you decide to restore its initial gleam, we offer reapplication services for the protective coating for £15. We also ask that you cover the postage costs to us and we cover the costs back.
