Our Story

LumoBlue was founded by G and Katie, based in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, where they live with their 7 children and 3 dogs: Pep, Joni, and Hudson.

G, the chief designer, has an extensive background in mechanical engineering. With nearly 10 years of experience working offshore in the oil and gas industry, he brings a deep understanding of heavy machinery and a perfectionist's eye to every piece of jewellery he creates.

Katie has worked in customer service, recruitment, and motivational speaking throughout her professional career, with a focus on helping others and bringing people together.

LumoBlue started as a dream back in May 2019, with G making rings for family and friends. What began as a small personal project quickly grew into a full-fledged business. On October 3rd, 2020, LumoBlue officially opened its doors, offering custom handmade rings to customers who appreciated the unique craftsmanship and quality.

In September 2024, we expanded our offerings to include a heartfelt new collection: memorial jewellery. This collection was inspired by a deeply personal experience after the loss of dear friends. Our memorial jewellery line, including ashes rings and necklaces, was born from the desire to help others honour their loved ones in a meaningful and personal way. Each piece is handcrafted with love and respect, offering comfort and a lasting tribute.

We are passionate about supporting British manufacturing and use recycled and reclaimed materials whenever possible. Since December 2020, all of our packaging is fully recyclable, aligning with our commitment to sustainability.

At LumoBlue, nothing is mass-produced or imported. Every item of jewellery is handmade in our workshop in Scotland, with an emphasis on bespoke designs. We pride ourselves on working with unique, alternative, and unusual metals, creating one-of-a-kind pieces that reflect our customers’ individuality. We believe in thinking outside the norm, making jewellery that is as unique and distinctive as the people who wear it.
